Nick Hernandez always doing something special with his music

Nick Hernandez performs with Jackson BrowneNick Hernandez and filmmaker Brent Weber go back to the 1990s, when Weber interviewed Hernandez on OCN Sports Talk in Los Angeles. Nick was at the time the world’s top skimboarder, which is a fast charging, high flying type of “surfing” when the tide doesn’t offer waves. Hernandez was already the front man for southern California reggae band Common Sense, and since that time Nick – also known as Nick I – has become one of the most dynamic and generous figures in entertainment along the beach cities.

Nick has performed in countless musical benefits, including concerts and kids’ workshops with Rock The Autism and Surfers Healing – where he jammed on stage with Jackson Browne earlier this year. An active surfer, Hernandez and the band regularly perform and record in southern California and around the world. His solo song “Bring It On”, written by Hernandez and played acoustically on piano, caught Weber’s attention via YouTube. When he reached out to Hernandez, the singer responded – literally – in seconds via Facebook offering the song – and Common Sense material as well.

Hernandez’s voice will be heard on the song “Bring It On”, which you can see and hear in the link below, as well as the Common Sense tune “Burn Fire Burn”. For more info about Common Snese or Hernandez, you can visit or find Nick on Facebook and Twitter.
